The float mount style is a kind of framing that instead of being flat in the frame, a float mount means that the print is lifted off the mount, casting a shadow which gives depth to the framed artwork.
We have considered that this way of displaying the printed painting is the most used within the field of visual art and gives a status of a work of fine art to the painting. -

FAQs

It all depends on the workload I have at the moment. But on average it takes me 4 weeks to deliver the finished artwork to the client from the moment I have all the photographs sent to me by the client with all the info provided (option chose, story, etc.) to use them in the personalised artwork.
-
The classification of my art would be under the name 'Digital art' and the technique I use could be called 'Digital mixed media'.
The painting is created entirely with my computer.
And then it is sent to print (if so required).
-
Yes. At the moment I only offer these measures since it is the one that clients feel most comfortable with since it is neither too small nor too large. This size is adequate for a good number of photographs to be integrated and well perceived in the artwork, since being smaller would greatly limit the number of photographs to be integrated and the details of the painting. Also, being larger, the cost of the product would increase. Therefore, it seems to me that this size is the most suitable for most people due to its cost and functionality.
If the client greatly requires it, I can make an agreement to make a bigger artwork (but not smaller than the offered) and adjust the price accordingly.

I have chosen to offer only this frame color (white) since the style of Mat Solart (and its characteristic palette) stands out and is much better perceived on white tones.
At the moment this is the only frame color I offer and which I believe adds a touch of sophistication to the artwork.
I have considered that this way of displaying the printed painting in a ‘Float Mount’ style is the most used within the field of visual art and gives a status of a work of fine art to the final product.
The frame size is 90cms x 60cms x 4cms wide. -
Once I receive your info from the submitted form and your images I will contact you to give you my details for you to deposit the first part of the order.
The first 50% of the total (depending on the option chosen) must be paid before I start the artwork. The second 50% and final part of the payment for the complete artwork must be paid once the last review has been approved.
Once both payments are done I will proceed to finish the artwork and then start the process of delivering. -
In the process, the client will be shown two advance samples of the artwork with the possibility of adjustments if necessary.
The first advance sample: Once I start to work with the client’s photos, I will create a sample for the client to see a composition that I have created using the photos.
Once the client approves this first sample, I will proceed with the creation of the artwork.
(Note: The First payment (50% of the total price) should be paid before the beggining of the artwork = once the first sample has been approved. No payment = no start of the artwork). The second advance sample: Before almost finishing the work, I will show the client the progress of the work up to that moment and according to that sample (and adjustments if extremely necessary), I will proceed to continue working. With this last feedback, the artwork will be finalized and the final version will be sent to the client before sending it to print (if it is the option chosen).
(Note: The second and last payment (second 50% of the total price) must be paid once the last sample has been approved).

~ Testimonials ~
“ Mat managed to unite our families who could not be present on our wedding day; they are together now through this meaningful artwork. We are very happy with the result . We recommend Mat's work for those who want to have a beautiful and meaningful piece of art “.
Adriana + David
“Mat's artwork has assuaged my continuing grief over the loss of my grandad. It colors my perception from a mourning approach for my loss, towards a celebration and gratitude for his life. I can look at the painting and see the images for what they were meant to be: snapshots of a happy Poppa”.
Jess Scherrer
" When we saw the artistic job of Mat Solar we confirmed how fascinating his art is. For us a special memorabilia of our wedding like this is priceless. Full of color, happiness, good vibe. We love his combination of images and the way he sums up that important day in one image".
Heidi Bayardi + Stephen Byrne
